Both ROPOS arms work together to release rigging holding the media converter canister and cable end from ROCLS, 12 May 2010. (ROCSL is the ROPOS Cable Laying System.)
The cable was subsequently attached to the ODP 1027 instrument platform, then ROPOS picked up ROCLS to begin a 12.5km cable lay from the instrument platform to the site of the ODP 1027 northwest bottom pressure recorder.
