On Wednesday, October 14, in coordination with the Great BC Shakeout event, the University of Victoria's Ocean Networks Canada teamed up with University of Victoria Electrical Engineering students to illustrate how ONC's earthquake notification technology and a student-designed alarm system can provide vital seconds to help people make important decisions, before the shaking starts.
