Fantasmagorical shapes and tubeworm colonies festoon the top of Godzilla hydrothermal vent, one of the largest and highest-energy mid-ocean hydrothermal vents known to science. This vent edifice rises 27 metres from the base, towering above nearby Bambi vent edifice.
