Colourful strings of autonomous temperature loggers are deployed (upper and lower right) and retrieved (lower left) by remotely operated vehicle ROPOS, 18 May 2014. After recovery, data collected by the loggers will be downloaded by scientists for detailed analysis of temperature fluctuations in areas of diffuse hydrothermal venting.
