ROPOS uses a wand to measure water temperatures in this area of diffuse flow from Grotto hydrothermal vent, 18 May 2014. The white structure covered with grey bivalves is the "top hat" which is connected to a water sampler that floats above it. Temperatures were measured here between 9-35 degrees C.
