A rack (a.k.a. "quiver") containing 10 push cores for gathering sediment samples, dangles before the Oceanic Explorer's camera during descent to the Barkley Canyon gas hydrates outcrops, 10 May 2014. The sediment samples, each marked by a different national flag, will support a Ph.D. research project by Neus Campanya i Llovet of Memorial University in Newfoundland.
