A Kongsberg rotary sonar, furry with growth of deep-sea organisms, is carried by the starboard manipulator of remotely operated vehicle Oceanic Explorer during deployment operations in Barkley Canyon, 10 May 2014. This sonar is used to track positions of the benthic crawlers Wally I and Wally II as they move about Wallyland, a study site in the gas hydrates outcrops at a depth of 870 m.
