Benthic crawler Wally II rests on the seafloor near waypoint 18 in Wallyland, 10 May 2014. Wally II was deployed to replace Wally I, which spent 2 years at the gas hydrates study location in Barkley Canyon, where the vehicle helps researchers study ocean chemistry and marine ecosystems in this area of active gas hydrates outcrops.
